These Boots

Ok, its official.  I am RUBBISH at keeping a diary.  It’s been 3 days since I last “blogged”.  Let me think, what have I done since then?  

The 30th December I went to work, Tom picked me up afterwards which was great!  We then dropped Shauna at home and went to see my dad.  He wasn’t in though so we went on the fancy dress costume trail.  Tom got lots of green face paint for his Hulk costume but I didn’t find anything in that shop and got a little miffed (sorry Tom).  We then went to Tesco’s which was Tom’s fab idea, it was decided that I would go as Ellen Ripley and I bought some combat pants and a T-shirt.  I had tea at Tom’s which was lovely and went home for sleep before work the next day.

The 31st December I got up and went to work, we got a lot of swabs in to process at 12.30 but woring as a team we managed to get them finished quickly and Andy let us leave at 1 pm.  Dave, one of our drivers, was leaving at the same time I was and very generously offered me a lift home which was so much better than my 1 1/4 hour bus journey.  When I got home I chatted to dad, did some washing and a bit of tidying up in my bedroom.  I then got a lovely hot bath and soaked myself for a while.  Tom arrived while I was still in the bath and he sprayed his hair green outside.  After I had got out of the bath and was dresed we started to make him green.  He did most of it while I did my hair and dried himself with my hairdrier.  I did one coat on his back and then went to get tea.  After that I did a second coat of green on Tom’s back.  We then left for the party at Danni’s house.  It was a really great night.  Tom went for dad not long after we got there, who arrived dressed as Jesus with Sky (the dog) in tow.  After much drinking, reminiscing and laughs, I fell asleep on the sofa at which point Tom took dad home and then came back for myself and Sabrine and Kurt.  We took our friends home and then went to Tom’s (arriving at 3.30 am) and a welcoming shower for Tom and then bed!

And here we are on the 1st January 2009, I am sat in bed watching a Buffy dvd because I can’t sleep.  Got up at about 1pm had coffee and watched some TV with Tom, I then decided I would read my book (well e-reader) whie he continued watching.  We then moved upstairs so Tom could play guitar while I read, however I believe I fell asleep and when I woke up he was playing comouter games and his sister, brother in law and nephew had arrived.  We went down stairs to greet everyone and had a lovely afternoon eating fantastic food and chatting, Steph, Nigel and Josh arrived as well which was lovely.  I then went home and finished my book (which was ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’), and now I’m writing my blogg.

I will try my hardest to remember to keep up with this diary.  I promise.  Speak to you tomorrow! Take care.
